Hotels offer Black Friday, Cyber Monday sales

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are just days away—and hotels are offering deals that will make traveling cheaper into next year


Many hotels throughout the USA are offering deals starting this Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, into Cyber Monday, Nov. 27. They range from discounts to credits to added perks—or all of the above.

Here is a sampling of notable sales:

Deep discounts

Carillon Miami Wellness Resorthas two options: Get 35% off the best available rate plus a $150 spa credit, a $100 food and beverage credit, a waived resort fee and a breakfast for two if you book from Nov. 24 to Nov. 27. Rates starts at $486.25 per night with a two-night minimum.

The second option is also a 35% discount on the rate with a $350 spa credit and a $200 food and beverage credit. It also included a personal training session, an IV treatment, waived resort fee, and breakfast for two. Rates start at $551.25 per night with a four-night minimum

The Embassy Row Hotel in Washington, D.C., a Destination Hotel, is offering 40% off the best available rate. Additional perks include complimentary valet parking, a daily $10 food and beverage credit per room, 10% off all food and beverage outlets at the hotel, unlimited phone calls, and complimentary access to the 24-hour Urban Fit Club Gym and Nucleus business center. It also includes complimentary access to the Underground Playground, which has air hockey, ping pong and foosball. There is also seasonal access to The Rooftop with yoga and meditation. The deal is available from Nov. 25 at 12 am EST through Nov. 27 at 11:59 pm EST with the promo code CYBER. The offer is valid on stays through August 2018.

Hotel Zelos in San Francisco, part of Viceroy Hotels, is offering up to a 40% discount on room rates and complimentary Wi-Fi from Nov. 27 to April 1. The Cyber Monday sale will run through Monday, Dec. 4. Hotel Zelos is a boutique hotel with large rooms and suites and patios. Room rates start in the mid-$200s.

At the Hotel Commonwealth in Boston, guests can stay for only $100 a night, a savings of 50%. The hotel is located near more than 100 colleges and universities. The sale starts Nov. 27 and ends after 100 minutes. It is valid for stays through March 7, and blackout dates do apply. To book, enter the code “Score100” or call 866.784.4000.

The Resort at Paws Up in Montana has a 35% discount when you book a trip from Nov. 24 to Nov. 29. The offer is valid for stays from Jan. 2 to May 25, 2018. It is not, however, available for special events, holidays or other discounted stays. Paws Up is a luxury Montana ranch.

The Fontainebleau Miami Beach is discounting its room by 25% on stays for two nights or more. The deal includes complimentary breakfast for two. It is available through Nov. 27.

The luxury Loews Hotels chain is giving guests a 20% discount if they book Nov. 27 to Nov. 29. The rates apply to properties in Hollywood, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Miami and more. Rates at properties such the one in Miami start at $299 and in Boston at $159.

Wyndham Hotel Group‘s Black Friday/Cyber Monday booking site is live: Guests can start booking up to 55% off hotel deals starting this Friday through Monday. The code is HCYB17.

Credits and gifts

W Hotels of New York has complimentary analog cameras for all hotel guests as part of the NYC Photography Package. Guests of the four W Hotels of New York will receive either the Dian F+ or Lomo’Instant Automat camera. It is part of a new partnership with Lomography, a photo organization, through December. Rates start at $300.

Guests who book a stay at Langham Place, New York (soon to be re-named The Langham, New York) for stays occurring January, February and March will get the best available rate plus a $150 credit that can be used for in-room dining or treatments and purchases at Chuan Body + Soul spa. Rooms must be booked between Black Friday and Cyber Monday using the promo code CYBERSALE.

International deals

Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana at Nickelodeon’s first international resort is offering up to 50% off room rates. Kids up to the age of 12 can stay free. Each adult will also get a 50% spa credit. The booking window is Nov. 22 to 29 for stays from Jan. 1 through Dec. 22, 2018. Rates at Nickelodeon Hotels and Resorts Punta Cana in 2018 typically start at $433 per adult, per night.

At Generations Riviera Maya in Mexico, you can book a stay from Nov. 22-29 for as low as $169 per person per night, which is about 55% off. In addition, you will receive a $1,000 resort credit which can be applied to room upgrades, food and beverage experiences on-site, and spa treatments. The resort is an all-suite, all-butler, oceanfront property. This deal is valid for stays from Jan. 1 through Dec. 22, 2018.

Other deals

Starting on Thanksgiving day through Cyber Monday, Expedia is offering deals on hotels, packages, activities and more. This includes up to 90% off hotels, $100 off coupons for cruises, and $750 off packages. Expedia is also giving away 2 million Rewards points, which can be instantly applied towards a trip, including those booked during the sale. Travelers can visit to claim a share of the points.

AmexTravel is having a flash sale through Nov. 22. Travelers can get up to 50% off select hotels in trending cities such as Berlin, Paris, Los Angeles, Maui, Puerto Vallarta, Montego Bay, New Zealand, Tahiti, Bali and more for travel between now and March 28.

Outrigger Hotels and Resorts is offering a deal on several of its properties of up to 40% off standard room prices. Travelers can start booking their stays now at this discount at beachfront properties in places such as Hawaii, the Maldives, Mauritius, Fiji, Thailand and Guam for travel through 2018 and part of 2019. Travelers have to use the code CYBER when they book online through Dec. 6 for travel between Nov. 20 through May 31, 2019. Examples of rates start at $118 a night in Maui, $102 in Thailand, $127 in Fiji, and $649 in the Maldives.
